I’ve never been a fan of reality TV shows, but my sister is. Two nights ago, she turned on the TV to watch So You Think You Can Dance Canada. The episode was airing the auditions in Montreal. Naturally I didn’t pay much attention to it. As I was playing Picross online at the same time, all I caught of the show was that a performance by a set of twins got one of the judges, Jean-Marc, in tears.
I later Googled the episode, curious to see what it was that made such a huge impact on the judge. It turns out that the twins delivered such an amazing performance that all the judges were wowed. In particular, here were Jean-Marc’s comments: “My son…is a vanishing twin, and he never would have had the chance to experience something that you just did. And the bond you have between you two…it’s crazy. In between two people who lived together for nine months very very close…it’s something we can’t explain. Only you two can even try to…right there, I understand.”
